About Playvalve

Playvalve is a young and agile gaming studio based in Barcelona by an international team of industry veterans from Google, Disney and Facebook. They're focoused on making fun and relaxing games that are built to last, with a focus on casual and classic gems, like Solitaire, Yatzy and Word Search.

The Problem

They were looking to streamline how they managed in-game advertising across their expanding game portfolio. They needed a partner to quickly develop a reliable internal tool to control ad campaigns and spending without disrupting the player experience.

The Solution

We developed a full-stack MVP dashboard using Ruby on Rails to centralize Playvalve’s ad operations. This meant creating solutions for real-time ad management, enabling the team to turn ads on or off across different games. In addition, we created direct integrations to AdMob and AppLovin in order to manage ad spend and distribution controls. We also ensured portfolio-wide visibility allowing their marketing and product teams to coordinate monetization efforts seamlessly.

Conclusion

With their new ad management dashboard, Playvalve can now fine-tune monetization strategies across all their titles from one place, without touching individual game codebases. The system empowers them to experiment, optimize revenue, and preserve the smooth, relaxing experience that players love, so they can focus on what they do best: making games built to last.
