About Triple M Accounting

Triple M Accounting is a Canada-based accounting firm from the Greater Toronto Area, operating since 1999. The firm provides financial, tax, and administrative services to both individuals and businesses. This includes corporate tax, CRA audit support, financial statements, payroll services, SR&ED (Scientific Research and Experimental Development), and support for international investors. Triple M’s team is committed to delivering outstanding services and prioritizes client education as a core part of their approach.

The Problem

Triple M needed to modernize parts of their client-facing systems to improve internal efficiency and simplify interactions relating to quoting, collecting documents and information, and processing client payments for their diverse customer base. All while maintaining the high-touch experience their clients were used to and ensuring all tools remained compliant with Canadian financial and privacy regulations.

The Solution

We kicked off the project with a design phase where we defined key user flows, core features, and the overall UX/UI based on the company's tone and brand. We then created an interactive prototype in Figma to allow the client to test it and move forward with development.

Afterwards, we mapped out critical workflows and restructured their digital infrastructure. A custombuilt B2C platform was created with the goal of letting users request accounting and tax services. Users go through a highly dynamic questionnaire, with multiple flows and conditional branches. A personalized quote is then received, allowing users to upload the required documents and pay for the service directly through Stripe. The platform guides users through the remaining steps, sending notifications along the way. On the backend, we developed a CRM-style admin panel that the TMP team uses to manage cases efficiently.

A wide range of tech stack was used, including Ruby on Rails, Next.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, SendGrid, and Stripe to bring everything together.

Conclusion

Triple M now operates with improved back-office efficiency and a smoother digital experience for clients. The updates allow the team to focus more on service delivery while giving clients easier access to the tools and information they need.
